Read more than the headline volume.
Monthly search volume describes estimated demand, but it does not tell you whether a keyword fits your offer or how difficult it may be to win. Use the surrounding metrics to decide whether the opportunity is worth deeper research.
Start with one specific seed keyword.
Enter a product category, audience problem, topic, or phrase of up to 150 characters. Specific seeds usually produce more useful comparisons than broad one-word subjects.
The checker analyzes the phrase you submit. It does not rewrite your keyword, promise a particular volume, or generate traffic forecasts.
Match language and region to the real audience.
Select the market where you plan to publish or advertise. A phrase can have very different demand and commercial value across countries and languages, so compare localized reports rather than assuming one global number.
Balance volume with intent, value, and difficulty.
Use CPC and advertiser competition as signals of commercial interest, SEO difficulty as a comparative ranking signal, and search intent to understand what the audience expects. None of these metrics should be evaluated in isolation.
Expand only into relevant keyword groups.
Related ideas, questions, and comparisons can reveal subtopics and buying-stage language. Keep variants that map to a real page, product, or research question instead of publishing near-duplicate pages for every phrase.
Automate complete reports when one check is not enough.
The Keyword Research API documentation covers the complete response, code examples, pricing, and workflows for recurring reports, products, schedules, webhooks, and datasets.
